A 3\/8 scale model of an 1860\u2019s 18 inch gauge locomotive, that ran at the Woolwich Arsenal and Chatham Dockyard.<\/h4>\n

Built to the \u201cAnna\u201d design serialised in Model Engineer. I was one of the first to start building to this locomotive, buying the castings after only a couple of issues had been published. I concentrated on making the visible components first, so it looked like progress was being made. I constructed this building stand from an article in model engineer by DAG Brown, who also designed the loco. I subsequently found the castor wheels were inadequate, but I was lucky enough to find some wheels off a rocket launcher \u2013 which weigh more that the rest of the stand.<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”1920″ alignment=”center” css=”.vc_custom_1641051494512{margin-top: 10px !important;}”][vc_column_text responsive_text=”true” color=”#004c7f” font_size=”16″ text_align=”center”]\n

The buffer heads were designed to be made from a 4 1\/2 inch round bar.
